Become a volunteer!
Participation is what it’s all about! Anyone associated with the University of Canterbury (past/present students and staff, their families, etc.) or living nearby is welcome to volunteer in either of the community gardens. No matter what level of experience you may have, or what your interests are, there is always something to be done and new ideas and skills are encouraged and always appreciated.
Volunteer at Okeover Community Garden
Regular working times are Friday afternoons from 12:00 to 5:00pm. Other events will be posted on the facebook page and sent out on the email list (see below). Anyone is welcome to come along, you don't need to sign up to anything and there's no minimum number of times you have to come. Best of all, everyone who volunteers gets their share of whatever delicious fresh produce was harvested that day.
