UC Gardening Group
When the Sustainability Office ran its Spring Gardening series in 2009 we were asked if we'd help set up a gardening group here at the university.
In 2010, that's exactly what we did! The group is for keen gardeners who want to meet up with other keen gardeners, and for those who want to be keen gardeners.
Semester Two 2011
We are focussing on building our skills for self-sufficiency in our home gardens. The sessions will belet by veteran organic and permaculture educator Lily White, who has been a firm favourite at our Gardening Group.
Sessions are: Wednesday lunchtimes from 12:10-1pm during term time at the Okeover Community Garden. Primarily a place to swap ideas, seeds, seedlings, cuttings or produce from our
home gardens, the group will also host great gardening speakers from time to time throughout the year.
Thanks to everyone who helped us with our survey of the group. The final report on how we think the gardening group went is now available. Read it here (PDF 308KB).
Email Matt Morris for more information or to go on the email list for this group.
