About the Conference
The Kakariki Sustainability conference was held on the 4th and 5th of October 2008.
This conference will focus on positive actions that benefit you and the planet. Everyone is welcome to come and discuss how you can create a sustainable future.
Choose from a variety of workshops, panel discussions and seminars to streamline your learning and contribution. Topics will include electric vehicles, sustainable development, zero waste, transportation, efficiency of food, green politics, organic farming, worm composting, activism, property design, social justice and more!
There will also be a tour of the campus community garden, field trip to Ti Kouka Eco Lane and hands on demonstrations of organic gardening techniques.
Enjoy lunch and refreshments both days with an optional dinner at the Community Garden with live music on Saturday night.
