First fashionable in the oil-shock 70's, carpooling is back as a social and practical way to reduce costs and emissions when travelling by car.

Why carpool?Rideshare

  • Save money on petrol, maintenance costs, and the cost and hassle of parking;
  • Use the priority parks: the University has set aside car parks close to main buildings and lecture theatres for registered UC Rideshare users;
  • Meet new people: you can either carpool with friends or use the online matching service to find potential carpool partners;
  • Reduce the number of days you have to drive yourself and the associated driving stress (if you share the responsibility for carpool driving).
