Secure Cycle Stands Dr. Bike 2012
Dr Bike is a free service where students and staff can have their bicycles looked at
and fixed up by Dr Bike mechanics.
To find them, come along to Sustainability House (118 Ilam Road) every
Thursday 11am- 12pm

Secure Cycle Stands

Electronically accessed, video-surveillance monitored bike parks. Simply swipe your
canterbury card to get access. But please make sure that you still lock your bike.

How to use the UC bike pumps

Air Pumps

An air pump with pressure guage is located in each of the secure cycle stands.
If you find that one of the air pumps is broken, please report this to
matthew.morris@canterbury.ac.nz

Puncture-repair kits Puncture-repair kits

Tyre levers and puncture repair patches and glue can be borrowed from
the Security Office (114 Ilam Road). Leave your Canterbury card as deposit.
Showers

Showers
Some showers on campus are available for cyclists travelling a long distance.
They can be found in Engineering, Forestry and Fine Arts.

 

Lockers

Lockers

Available on a first padlock in, first served basis.


Lockers are also available in Law (see Lawsoc) and Engineering (see Ensoc) buildings.

Bike Paths

Bike paths

Cyclists can use both the campus roads and pedestrian paths, but please always be
considerate of other path/road users. If you are biking between the University's main
and Dovedale sites, a shared cycle/walk way links Waimairi and Ilam Roads via
Ilam Fields.
